12.70 - School Visitation Rights

The School Visitation Rights Act permits employed parents/guardians, who are unable to meet with educators because of a work conflict, the right to time off from work under certain conditions to attend necessary school functions such as parent-teacher conferences, academic meetings and behavioral meetings. Forms verifying participation in this program [SCHOOL VISITATION PROGRAM PARTICIPATION VERIFICATION FORM] are available from the school office upon request.

Note: Staff is able to access/provide this form to families by going to the RLAS 116 Website > Staff Portal > Forms for Families - Quick Access.

Please review the School Visitation Rights Act to determine if you are entitled to a school visitation leave.
