The World Language Department is looking for volunteers for our 2026 World Language Night, to be held Thursday, April 9, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Round Lake High School in the main and auxiliary gyms.
World Language Night hopes to inspire all students and members of the Round Lake Area to enjoy the diversity of our community and our world. Students in our World Language Program work hard to master their language skills, and they also engage in critical reflection of different perspectives throughout the world. We want to take an evening to show off not only their learning, but to exhibit the richness of our community, where more than 30 languages are represented!
We are reaching out in hopes of your participation. We are looking for district families and staff who would like to showcase their culture at this event through recipes and food, artifacts/crafts, music, performances, or another method.
If you would like to participate, please complete this survey by Friday, February 6, 2026.
The World Language Department will be contacting interested participants shortly with more information about the specifics of this event.
