About Me

Welcome to 6th Grade!  We have an exciting year ahead of us and I am so happy we will be together in person. 

Having grown up in Round Lake, teaching in District 116 has always been very special to me.  Over the years I taught at Village, Murphy and Round Lake Middle School. After a five year adventure living in Massachusetts, we recently moved back to the area to be closer to family.  As I enter my 18th year of teaching, I am thrilled to be back at RLMS. 

My husband, Gordon, and I now live in nearby Antioch with our three children. Nellie is in 8th Grade and our twins, Connor & Liam, are in 6th Grade. I keep joking that I must REALLY love middle school to be teaching it and be living with three middle schoolers. 

Outside of school, you will often find me on the sidelines watching our kids play soccer, football, basketball & lacrosse. I enjoy traveling, reading and playing with our two Goldendoodles, Winnie & Duncan. 

I look forward to getting to know you and can't wait to see you learn & grow as a reader and writer this year.
