Hi and welcome to John T. Magee Middle School! My name is Katie Atchison and I am excited to spend my third year here at John T. Magee! I currently teach 8th grade special education. More specifically, I co-teach ELA and Social Studies and also teach a small group ELA class! I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education, and am fully endorsed to teach Special Education age 3 to 21. I have started my journey to obtaining my Masters of Reading Education.

Fun Facts:

- I love to read. My favorite books growing up were Harry Potter and A Series of Unfortunate Events.

- I have a rescue puppy named Ghost and a rescue kitten named Nova! They are my best friends!

- I love to sing. I used to take lessons in high school and college, I almost got my degree in music!
