Ms. Albarran

     Ms. Albarran began teaching at Round Lake High School as a student teacher in 2018 before being hired to work full-time in social studies in 2019. She has taught Non-Western History and Government to sophomores and seniors and is currently teaching Western Civilizations, U.S. History, and health to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. She is a strong advocate of student-centered and hands-on learning, as it helps students become strong leaders through post-graduation.

     While attending Lake Forest College, Ms. Albarran completed a double major in History and Political Science and a Masters in Education and where she also performed with the Lake Forest symphonic orchestra and advanced women’s chorale ensemble for five years. Having studied voice, vocal pedagogy, and costume design with prominent opera singer Kathleen Van De Graff, she enjoys singing in her spare time. Further hobbies include painting, golfing, rock climbing, practicing horticulture, and event planning.
