Mr. Brendan P. McLaughlin

My journey in education began in 2004.  At the age of 33, I went back to school to become a teacher.  After spending two years completing my masters in curriculum and instruction at Indiana University, my wife and I moved back to Chicago where I began my career as an English teacher at John F. Kennedy High School.   After seven years, I moved to Round Lake Area Schools to work in instructional technology.  It was 2013 when I started in Round Lake, and since then, I have served in a variety of roles.  Currently, I am the help desk coordinator.  We have started a class in which students assist other students with technology, troubleshooting issues and solving problems.  When I am not at work, I am at home with my wife and two kids and our rescue dog, a pit bull we call Jade.
