Mr. Kent Korth

Kent Korth began his teaching career instructing Marketing Education and serving as the DECA advisor at Clear Creek Secondary School located in Idaho Springs, Colorado, during the 1985-1986 school year.  He is originally from Marshfield, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 1985 and received his Masters of Arts in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1996.  Mr. Korth previously spent 22 years with Special Education District of Lake County serving as a Job Search Specialist/Work Adjustment Trainer, Prevocational Coordinator and Vocational Facilitator before joining the school of District of Round Lake 116 in September 2018 as the Transition Specialist. Mr. Korth is also an adjunct faculty member at the College of Lake County teaching Career Exploration for the Counseling Department. In addition, he serves as the Voice of the Lancers for the Women’s Volleyball and Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams.  His goal in serving at Round Lake District 116 is to help students inch closer to a successful transition from school to the world of work.

Mr. Korth has also been involved in coordinating work and employment programs throughout his entire career in Wisconsin and Illinois. He, his wife, Girlie, and their son, Paul, live in Southeastern Wisconsin.
