Mrs. Alexandra Zermeno

I grew up in Gurnee, IL, and graduated from Warren Township High School in 2006. I have been teaching at Round Lake High School since August 2014. Before teaching at RLHS, I taught ESL for one year at a middle school in Alexandria, VA. Currently, I teach English 1, English 1 Prep, and English Foundations - all ENL sheltered classes. I love teaching at RLHS. It is a beautiful community with the best students! Getting to know each student and watching them grow throughout their time at RLHS makes every struggle that comes along with teaching worth it. In addition to teaching academic content to my students, my goal is to impart on them the idea that "no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted" (Aesop). For fun, I love to cook, bake, and craft. I also love animals, especially dogs. I currently live in Gurnee with my husband, Eduardo, and our four children: Charlotte (5), Eddie (3), Addison (1 1/2 years), and Noah (4 months).  I spent the beginning of this (2019-2020) school year on maternity leave.  I will be returning on Friday, October 11th.  I am very excited to get to know all of my students and see where the year takes us!
