Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Matthew Weber
Matthew Weber grew up in rural northern Missouri in a family of farmers, surrounded by all things agriculture. So, naturally, he pursued a college degree in vocal music. He graduated in 2010 from Truman State University with a bachelor’s degree in Voice. After a few years of moving around Missouri working in banking, he returned to his true passion, Music Education. He taught K-12 Vocal and Instrumental Music in his old high school, Atlanta C-3 in Atlanta, Missouri (population 375) for four years while pursuing his master’s degree. He graduated in 2017 from Hannibal LaGrange University earning a Master’s Degree in Education: Teaching and Learning, with a 4.0 GPA.
Mr. Weber, his wife, Meghan, their two kids, Sophia and Grayson, and their corgi, Dot, live in Streamwood. Mr. Weber also serves as the Director of Music for the First United Methodist Church of Elgin, IL, and is also a certified Disney Travel Planner. The family has visited Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California more than 12 times since 2014.
Mr. Weber is so excited to be working with the Round Lake Area School District as 3rd and 4th Grade Music teacher at Raymond Ellis Elementary and as the Concert Choir Director and Music Technology teacher at Round Lake High School.
