Rachel Vlies has been teaching English at Round Lake High School since 2008. For fourteen years, she has taught mostly at the freshman and sophomore level. Born and raised in Schaumburg, Illinois, she attended Schaumburg High School and then went on to study education at Northern Illinois University. Rachel and her husband, Nick, live in Round Lake and have two children, Makenna and Connor. She loves to watch sporting events, especially the Cubs and Packers, in her free time with her family.
