Mrs. Georgann Vetrano

I am celebrating my thirteenth year at Village Elementary teaching general music grades 1-5 and the Village chorus. Before teaching full time at Village Elementary, I taught elementary and middle school band and the educational life skills class at the middle school in the district.

My formal music education began in New York (born and raised) and have also taught in elementary schools in New York, Florida and South Carolina, and bring many years of experiences and insight to my teachings.

I am the recipient of the Office Max "Make a Day Better" Award and received the "Those Who Excel" Award from the State of Illinois in recognition of outstanding contributions as a classroom teacher, and a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, the Illinois Educators Association and NAFME.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, attending plays/musicals and visiting nearby states looking for interesting architecture, antiques and sampling local cuisine.
