Hi! I'm a 6th grade math teacher at JTMMS. I've been teaching in RLAS since 2008. I LOVE working with students and helping them overcome challenges. I believe that every child can learn, and my mission is to make sure every child does learn. In my classroom, students are given challenges to help them grow as mathematicians, problem solvers, and people. 

I attended Illinois State University for my bachelor's degree and Dominican University for my master's degree. I love learning and growing, both personally and professionally. I have teacher certifications in special education, middle school math education, and the education of English language learners.

When I'm not teaching math or going to school, I enjoy dancing, reading new books, and doing puzzles. I also like traveling to new places and learning about other cultures. Some of my favorite things are penguins, cupcakes, drinking coffee and Converse shoes.
