My name is Howard Kravets, and I am a proud member of the Math Department here at RLHS. I started my teaching career at Grayslake Central High School in 1996 and became a Panther at RLHS starting in 2007. Throughout my years of teaching, I have had the pleasure of teaching all levels of ability and ages at the high school. However, my specialty includes Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, and Advanced Algebra, as well as deep knowledge of the graphing calculator and technology. I graduated from Deerfield High School in 1990, have a Bachelor's Degree and Certificate of Business from Indiana University, and a Master's Degree in Secondary Education from Loyola University Chicago.

In addition to teaching, I have many interests/hobbies. Here at RLHS, I have been involved in several different extra-curricular activities, including Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach, Head Coach of the Math Team, and a drummer in our famous faculty rock band, "Staff Infection." Needless to say, my favorite things to do involve math, sports, and music. On weekends during the football season, you can find me cheering on my favorite team, the Chicago Bears (see my computer screen-saver on the left), and during the summer, a  die-hard Chicago Cubs fan (World Series Champions 2016!!)

I've lived in Lake County, IL, my entire life, and look forward to many more years of teaching at RLHS and showing my Panther Pride every day!!
