Welcome! My name is Katie Horn.   I am 5th grade Math and Science teacher at Beach Elementary School.   I have been teaching in Round Lake for 28 years and love every day!  It is a pleasure to work with the students and help them grow! I graduated from Northern Illinois University with my bachelors.   I also have 2 masters degrees from National Louis University. 

I am happily married for 29 years and have 2 children. My husband also works for Round Lake School District. My daughter, Stefany, is a teacher in Fountain/Fort Carson Elementary School in Colorado Springs, CO where she moved this summer. My son works as a Safety Engineer in Orlando, FL.   I love to spend my time with family, reading or with my dog, Gracie. I have a granddog "Chloe" who also moved to Colorado this summer.  We miss her terribly!  My husband and I have recently taken up traveling and have enjoyed visiting places across the United States.
