Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Joseph Fleischauer

I graduated from Zion Benton Township High School in 2006 and earned my bachelor's degree in English Literature from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale in 2011. In 2015, I got my Master's Degree in teaching from National Louis University.

I started at Round Lake High School in 2011 as a Library Media Assistant and soon realized that I wanted to spend my career in the classroom. I began teaching English in 2015. The following year, the school asked me to teach a new iOS app development class, and I accepted their offer. I now teach two sections of an entry-level programming class called Mobile Makers, and an advanced version of the class called Mobile Makers 2 in addition to teaching English.

In 2018, I also started the RLHS Bass Fishing Team. We meet year-round and fish primarily for bass, fishing numerous tournaments over the course of both the fall and spring seasons. Our mission is to preserve, protect and enjoy the outdoors by possessing virtues consistent with responsible sportsmen and competitive fishermen. Our club sponsors include: Dobyns Rods, Pure Fishing LLC, and Lews.
