Mrs. Micah Evans

Mrs. Evans was born in Chicago, Illinois, and attended Evanston schools from kindergarten through high school.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Carleton College, a Master of Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and post-graduate alternative certification from National-Louis University through the Chicago Teaching Fellows Program.  Coming from a long line of educators, Mrs. Evans began teaching in 2006 and has taught International Baccalaureate Biology, Advanced Placement Biology, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science.  At Round Lake High School, she currently serves as the Tier 2 Behavior Interventionist, working with teachers and students to help all students meet our behavioral expectations.  She is a member of the PBIS Committee, Equity Team and cosponsor of Sister to Sister, a female empowerment club.  Equity and inclusion work is important to her, and she serves as the chair of the Multicultural Alumni Board at Carleton College.
