Kimberly Bonilla was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. She went to Illinois State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology and Marketing. After 10 years working in technology project management, Ms. Bonilla went back to school to receive her Master's Degree in Mathematics Education. Since receiving her master's, she has taught high school math at North Chicago Community High School and Round Lake High School. In her first three years at Round Lake High School, Ms. Bonilla taught freshman with a focus on students who have difficulty learning mathematics. More recently, Ms. Bonilla has worked in math intervention providing specialized supports to students in mathematics. She is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
