Web Accessibility
Round Lake Area Schools CUSD #116 is committed to creating accessible digital experiences for all of our users, across many different devices. Our website is designed to ensure that people with disabilities, including those who are blind or partially sighted, can effectively access, understand, navigate, and interact.
We built our site using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA for better accessibility. WCAG is an industry standard for creating accessible content and it provides guidance around best practices for ensuring content is legible for all users, including color contrast ratios, not relying on color solely as a means of conveying information, ensuring that content can be understood with assistive devices, and more.
We use Google Translate, so visitors who speak a language other than English can access information. Users can select the language of their choice in the bottom right-hand corner.
While we have strived to do our best to ensure all our content is accessible, we can always do better. If you find a page or content that is hard to read or digest, we want to know so we can fix it. Most of our pages have a form at the bottom for providing input. You can let us know there, or at the bottom of this page.
Thank you for helping us to make our site even better.
