Letter blocks saying Literacy

Our Vision

Words are the most powerful force in humanity, so we - all stakeholders in Round Lake Area Schools CUSD #116 - must develop effective communicators by cultivating a knowledge of language in our students that gives them the power to influence their world.

Our Mission

Students will be writing daily, making decisions, arguing purposefully, reflecting on their learning, reading with a purpose and passion, and listening to and collaborating with others.  And our staff will be sharing their passions, facilitating students’ learning, engaging with students, growing their own knowledge, reflecting on their practices, collaborating with stakeholders, and stepping out of their comfort zone.  When our staff and students can do this daily, they will have the tools to influence their world and greatly affect the world around them.
