The Round Lake Area is located in northeastern Illinois, halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee and just 50 miles from the cultural and educational opportunities of either metropolis. The Round Lake Area is on two train lines to Chicago, with access to trains to Milwaukee as well.
Recreational opportunities abound. Our local park district and county forest preserves are both award-winners, with year-round recreation that ranges from fishing, golfing, swimming, and boarding to cross country skiing, hiking and hundreds of recreational programs.
Is reading one of your favorite hobbies? The Round Lake Public Library has the latest and greatest features and a wonderful selection of events throughout the year. Six Flags Great America amusement and water park is just minutes away, and endless shopping options. Yet despite all the big city amenities, the Round Lake Area has maintained its small town, country feel.
