We are pleased to share with you our annual "School Report Card." This report card and the specific information it contains is distributed each year in the fall, as required by the Illinois State Legislature.
As the parent/guardian of a school-aged child, you will be able to review your student’s report card, which tells you how your child is doing in each subject. This "School Report Card" provides information about the district and each individual school in the areas we are required to test students so the state can monitor performance.
"School Report Card" - Spanish version.
As you review this report, please keep the following points in mind:
- If you have children attending more than one school, you can review a report card for each school. All schools report cards will be available on the district’s website: http://www.rlas-116.org/. To request a hardcopy of any report card please contact the individual building principals.
- Most categories of information provide facts and figures about the state, the district, and each individual school for your comparison.
- In a few instances, particularly in the area of finance, information is provided for the district and the state, but not for the individual school.
Achievement
As you review this information about student test performance, there are certain factors you should keep in mind:
- It is ONLY for certain grades and specific subjects.
- It reflects the percentage of students at each testing grade level in four categories: academic warning, below state standards, meeting state standards and exceeding state standards.
- All our schools showed improvement in scores from our previous year, we are encouraged as this indicates our curriculum is on track.
