Round Lake Area School's meals are prepared by Chartwell Dining Service. 
Account Balance Letters
Each student has one account for Breakfast / Lunch. Any amount of money can be deposited into this account. Any money that is left in the account at the end of the school year will be rolled over for the next school year.
Twice a week an account letter is sent home with the student. If the account is in the negative, the student will receive Cheerios and milk for lunch. This is why it is very important to keep at least a week's worth of money in the Breakfast / Lunch account.
A peanut butter sandwich is a daily menu choice for lunch, and there are also two other meal choices. Children can also help themselves to the salad bar. Children are encouraged not to take more than they can eat from the salad bar. If they finish what they have taken, they can always return for seconds. Every Friday is Pizza Day!

Major food groups must be offered daily and must meet portion standards. This includes protein, fruit, vegetables, grain and dairy products. For dessert, pudding, cookies and gelatine desserts are on the menu. We offer well balanced nutritious meals.
