Welcome to our physical education web page. The primary focus of this website is to inform students and parents of P.E. news and activities throughout the school year. It will also be used as a medium of sharing pictures and records of students involved in any aspect of the P.E. Program.
Many factors are considered in planning an elementary physical education program. It is our philosophy that the physical education program provides a well-rounded curriculum to meet the ability levels, needs, and interests of all the children that we possibly can. We are here to create a safe and successful learning environment for students, while exposing them to lifelong fitness and recreational games.
Physical education contributes, primarily through movement experiences, to the total growth and development of all children. Students have opportunities to gain knowledge, skills and attitudes which promote physical activity as part of their everyday lives. We have a strong belief that physical education is more than just throwing out a ball. We emphasize age-appropriate skill development in all activities taught.
