My name is Thomas Kleine, and I have been involved in education for many years. I graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education in 1997 with a concentration in psychology, social sciences, and language arts. I was a second grade teacher for three years and a third grade teacher for three more years. During my teaching years, I obtained my masters in Teacher Leadership with a focus on Special Education from Roosevelt University and thirty additional master hours in special education, English as a Second Language instruction, and literacy. This is my eleventh year teaching in Round Lake and my eighteenth year as a teacher overall. Previously, I spent the last six years as a special education resource teacher for the district. I am very excited with my fifth year continuing the position as a Reading and Writing Lab teacher (with our main focus on the writing process this year) at Village Elementary School. My goal this year is to help every student become a confident, passionate, and competent writer. I also lead the Rainbows program at Village School. I love what I do and I work hard to provide inspiration for all of my students! I consider it a great privilege to work in Round Lake School District #116.
