My name is Jennifer Williamson and I am the reading and writing lab teacher at Ellis Elementary School. I have been working in the Round Lake District for twelve years. Before Ellis Elementary, I taught 8th grade language arts at Round Lake Middle School and 6th grade at Indian Hill Elementary School.
Before teaching, I worked as a adminstrative assistant while putting myself through school. I earned my Bachelor's degree through Southern Illinois University in K-8 teaching with endorsements in language arts, social studies, and science. I earned my Master's degree through Aurora University in educational leadership.
A little about myself... My husband and I have four amazing children who are growing up way too fast! They keep us involved in after school activities, sports, play dates and more. You will often see us at RLHS football games (GO PANTHERS!), open houses, concerts, and many other community events. Please stop over and say hi. Each of our four children has different talents and abilities and each brings their own special touch to our family. This is how I feel about every classroom I am in: each student brings his/her own talents and abilities and each one is crucial to our classroom family. I will treat your children how I would like my own children to be treated; with fairness and respect in a nurturing environment with motivation to appreciate and improve their reading and writing.
Please contact me if you ever have any concerns. I look forward to a great year!
Have a wonderful school year!
