This is my 27rd year in education, 24 as a teacher and three as an assistant principal. I started teaching at RLMS six years ago as a World Language teacher. This year is my fifth year as a 7th grade science teacher. I have a bachelor’s degree in farm operation and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Northern Iowa. I also have two master’s degrees from Northern Illinois University, one in Curriculum and Supervision, the other in Educational Administration.
I grew up on a family farm in Iowa. All of my family still lives in that same town. I have been married for 25 years. My wife Barb is also from the same town in Iowa and all of her family stills lives there as well. We have a two sons - Zach who is a sophomore at Carroll Univeristy studying physical therapy, and is a member if their baseball team, and Alec who is a sophomore at Lakes High School. We also have 2 cats, Trouble and Oreo.
When I am not teaching I enjoy watching sports (football is my favorite), collecting sports cards, and playing golf.
