Round Lake Middle School

August 20, 2014

Welcome to my webpage.  I am so excited to be a Reading Intervention Teacher at Round Lake Middle School.  This is my third year as a RLMS Wildcat and my tenth year teaching in Round Lake.  Most of my years were spent at WJ Murphy in 3rd, 4th & 5th grades and I especially enjoy seeing some of my former elementary school students all grown up in middle school.

Reading & teaching reading are both passions of mine; my transition into middle school the last few years has been especially sweet because I
can now focus on reading with my students.  I love helping kids discover & continue a love for reading too!

As a Round Lake graduate, I am very proud to teach in the community I grew up in.  Round Lake is a very special place.  We have amazing kids & families and I work with very talented and dedicated teachers.  All students deserve a great education and I feel that is exactly what I feel that they receive here in District 116.

Middle school is an exciting time for kids, but it can also be challenging, as they try to figure out how they fit into this world.  I look forward to helping build confidence, both as readers and as Wildcats, while getting involved in all the great activities offered here at school.

When I am not at school, I keep very busy with my family.  My husband & I have three young children.  Nellie is 6 1/2 and is in 1st grade.  Our twin boys Connor & Liam just turned 5. Cheer & tumble practices and soccer games now fill up our calendar.  We love spending time with our family and friends, enjoy going camping and have daily dance parties in our living room!  The kids are all excited to visit RLMS & love meeting  the students at mommy's school.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.  I look forward to working with students & parents to ensure a successful school year.
