Hello and welcome to Room 23! First, some information about me. I grew up in the area and currently live in Lake County with my husband and three children. I graduated from The University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, with a B.S. degree and received my Master of Arts in Teaching from National-Louis University. I also hold an English as a Second Language endorsement.
This is my sixth year at Ellis Elementary School. I have taught both first and second grade at Ellis. I previously taught kindergarten and fourth grade in a nearby district.
My goal as a teacher is to provide your student with a life-long love of learning and the motivation and knowledge that will support them in becoming career and college ready and to ultimately achieve their dreams.
Families, please remember that your student should be reading at least 30 minutes per day. Also, students can practice reading at home by using the website Imagine Learning and for math, Moby Max.
