I have been teaching for the past ten years and I love making learning fun! I have 3 children, 2 cats, 3 guinea pigs, 1
bearded dragon and 1 husband. I am from Syracuse, New York and I love the New York Mets. I'm very excited to be at Village School and know it will be a wonderful year!
Hello Viking Families!
My name is Kristi LaSota and I am one of the three fourth grade teachers here at Village Elementary. Although this is only my third year in Round Lake, I have over 20 years teaching experience in both public and private schools. My husband Stan and I have lived in Cary for over 20 years where we have raised our children, Jessica (20) and Josh (17). I am excited to be working with your child here at this incredible school. I look forward to the fantastic year ahead!
My name is Denise Hollech. I have been teaching at Village School for 29 years. I have had the pleasure of teaching many students and even some of their parents. I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University and got my Masters from National Louis University. I wanted to be a teacher since the age of 6. For those of you who have been in my classroom, you know that my first student was a stuffed frog named Froggie. Many of you have met Froggie yourself and have added to his family with brothers, sisters, a mom, dad, wife, and even a huge stuffed grandfather frog! I have a husband, a daughter who is a freshman at Wauconda High School, and lots of pets. I enjoy wakeboarding, drawing, reading books, and working here at Village watching many students grow up to become successful, as they come back to visit, and tell me all of the wonderful things they have done since 5th grade!
