1.) Teacher Appreciation Week is the week of May 5.  The PTO has sent out a survey to teachers, inquiring what they would appreciate for this week.  Results are still coming in!

2.) Spirit Wear - sale is over for this Spring.  We saw over $600 dollars in sales for the Spring Sale.  Delivery will take place in two weeks (approximately April 28).

3.) Market Day - pickup for this month is Friday, April 25 in the gym.

4.) Spring Book Fair - The Book Fair will take place from April 28 through Friday, May 2.  We will hold it in the front hallway once again, and are looking for volunteers to run the fair.  There are two shifts: 9:30-12:00, or 12:30-3:00.  Please contact the school if you can help during that week.  One day or all five, we appreciate what you can give!

5.) Fall Fundraiser - Our Fall Fundraiser for next school year will be through Market Day.  They will provide the same wide selection of products, but will offer the school a larger profit.

6.) Murphy School Folder - a winner for the annual cover design has been decided upon.  Winner will be announced during the last week of school, and folders will be distibuted at the beginning of next school year.

7.) Honor Roll Breakfast - The breakfasts will be held on the following dates: 3rd and 4th grade - Wednesday, April 23.  5th and 6th grade - Thursday, April 24.

8.) Chicago Fire Professional Soccer Benefit Day - Sunday, April 20, 2:00PM at Toyota Park.  We sold 44 tickets!!  Twenty students from Murphy will be able to go down on te field and run through the "Tunnel of Fire" before the game.  Check out pictures from the game, which will be posted the week of April 21.

 

The W.J. Murphy PTO will hold a Spring Auction and Raffle on Wednesday night, April 30 from 6:00-8:00PM. 

The Book Fair will also be open that night!  Some of the items up for Raffle and/or Auction are:

3 Round Lake Park District punch tickets,

Round Lake Fire Truck Ride to School,

"Suessical" tickets at the Lincolnshire Marriot for May 10,

Movie Package,

Book and Stuffed Animal Basket,
