What Does a John T. Magee Middle School Guidance Counselor Do?
A school counselor at Magee Middle School is a professional educator with a mental health perspective who understands and responds to the challenges presented by the diverse student population in the Round Lake Area. Middle school guidance counselors do not work in isolation; rather they work together with administrators, teachers, students and parents. School counselors assist in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive, developmental and systematic school counseling program. A guidance counselor at John T. Magee provides data-driven services in the areas of academic, career and personal/social counseling.
