Congratulations to Ms. Hennig and Mrs. Diaz for receiving a Those Who Excel Award!  Ms. Hennig and Mrs. Diaz traveled to Normal, Illinois to participate in their celebration! Congratulations to Mr. Osswald, Mrs. Killam-Davis, and all the Elllis students on your wonderful Hispanic Heritage performance! The Ellis Choir performs at the 2017 Chili Supper! During Target Time our STEM students have been learning about writing and debugging code. In class they got to become the robot while other students in their group wrote "code" and measured angles to help them navigate around various shapes.

Students celebrate Hour of Code December 4-8
During the week of December 4-December 8th Ellis students will participate in the Hour of Code. Students will use different types of technology to do coding in their classrooms. Thank you to our digital age learning coach, Ms. Wishau for setting this up for our school! We can't wait to code! Students experience technology with Augmented Reality!
Today our 3rd-5th graders got to experience Google Augmented Reality. Augmented Reality allows images to appear in your current environment. Our students 3rd-4th graders got to see a tornado, hurricane, volcano, tsunami, and an earthquake. Some students also got to see some underwater animals or landforms. Our 5th grade students got to see some of Da Vinci's Inventions and Dinosaurs!
Ellis Students are KIND!
Earlier in November students were able to watch a fun assembly presented by our friends from The Chapel! The students learned the importance of being kind! From now until December 11th the students will have the opportunity to earn special Eagle Bucks to celebrate when they are caught being kind! These special Eagle Bucks will be used for students to purchase fun items for their loved ones from a special school store during the week of December 11th. SHOW YOUR KINDNESS ELLIS EAGLES!
