Round Lake Area Health & Wellness Center is taking appointments for school physicals, sports physicals and immunizations

Get ahead of the game and have your child's physicals and immunizations complete this spring/summer! Remember, physicals and immunizations are required prior to the first day of school.

RLAS-116 to host Parent Information Sessions

We are considering a new schedule for students in grades K-5 for the 2018-19 school year. Please attend a Parent Information Session on March 8 or March 21 to learn more about this proposal.

3rd Grade STEM Olympics

3rd grade is getting into the Olympic Spirit by working on an Olympic themed STEM project.  (Click "Read More" for a video).  The students learned about energy, motion, and mechanics.  They then, made bobsleds from cardboard and raced them.  So exciting!

Education Foundation to host "Winter Wonderland Daddy Daughter Dance" on Saturday, February 24

Winter Break Hours

Winter Break is scheduled for Monday, December 24, 2017 through Friday, January 5, 2018. The Administrative Service Center will be open Wednesday through Friday each week of break, 7:45am-4:15pm. Schools will be closed during the Break. Students will return to school on Tuesday, January 9, 2018

Snowman Village December 21st

The Snowman Village is ONE DAY only Thursday, Dec 21st from 9-3pm at school. Students may shop for gifts for mom, dad, grandparents, brothers and sisters or friends.  Only the students that have money will attend the shop.  Gift prices range from .25 cents to 10.00.  This event is supported by PTO.

MAP TESTING December 5th - 15th

Create a free account with ClassDojo to review your child's behavior report, progress, and perserverance. ClassDojo is also a safe and easy way to communicate with your child's teacher and the Beach Elementary School community. 

Breakout EDU

The students are loving the Breakout EDU kits. The students use a series of clues to solve puzzles to unlock a box.  In order to successfully solve a Breakout EDU puzzle, students must collaborate, think critically and use mathematical and scientific problem solving skills (see pictures).


Red Ribbon Week

Parent Teacher Conferences

Conferences will be held Thursday, October 26th and Friday, October 27th.  We Strongly encourage you to attend so that you can discuss your child's learning progress.  Please contact your child's homeroom teacher to schedule your conference.   

Digital Citizenship Month

This month students are learning how to be respectful, responsible, and safe digital citizens.   Ask your child what they learned and how they are using technology in their classroom.  Check Dojo for daily tips on how to be a good Digital Citizen.

Year 3 Initiatives of 5-Year Strategic Plan Approved for 2017-18 Year 3 Initiatives

The Board of Education took action on June 19, 2017 to approve initiatives set in accordance with the 5-Year Strategic Plan. 2017-2018 is Year 3 of the overall plan. You can access the full document of initiatives here.

Administration submits updates to the Board on these initiatives on a regular basis (November, February & June).
