Volunteers Needed for Teen Court

Are you looking for a way to get involved? Do you want to make a difference in the lives of other teenagers? Are you considering a career in criminal justice or law enforcement? Lake County Teen Court is looking for youth volunteers to serve as jurors and attorneys for the Teen Court Program. As a teen juror, you will have the opportunity to hear the actual cases of juvenile misdemeanor offenders that choose to have their case heard by a jury of their peers instead of in the traditional judicial court system. The minimum commitment is one day per month at your assigned home court.  Teen Court is held in:

  • Zion/Benton (Beach Park) – 1st Tuesday of each month
  • Round Lake Beach – 1st Wednesday of each month
  • Waukegan – 2nd Wednesday of each month
  • Warren/Gurnee – 2nd Thursday of each month
  • Round Lake – 3rd Tuesday of each month
  • Round Lake Beach – 3rd  Wednesday of each month
  • North Chicago – 3rd Thursday of  each month
