Making use of the late start day on Monday, Round Lake Transition students went to the mall to do some holiday shopping for their families as well as enjoy lunch.
They learned key lessons including time management and how to navigate a large shopping center safely. The students broke up in groups and chose stores that they specifically wanted to go to and buy presents for their family members. Each student was responsible for budgeting their own money to make sure that they did not spend more then they had.
While the students were shopping they had to make sure to keep track of the clock in order to get to the food court for lunch. Everybody met up and were able to choose what they wanted for lunch and pay it for themselves due to smartly budgeting their money.
It was a fun day for the students being able to shop for presents, eat lunch and enjoy being with their friends.
