Cooking with Round Lake Transition 8th Edition

The Round Lake Transition students decided to make a huge spread in the kitchen this past week. It was something that everybody could enjoy.

One group continued with their Italian lessons and perfected making pasta so that they would be comfortable making it at home. From using the stove to heat up the pasta and sauce, they were able to make an easy and delicious meal that could be enjoyed individually or in a group.

Another group of students made several items for everybody to enjoy. They shopped and selected a couple of packages of chicken wings to make. they chose spicy and mild chicken wings to make. But that wasn't all as they chose to make a couple of sides to go with their chicken wings.

They made a homemade salad chopping up several fresh vegetables including carrots, onions, radishes and more. In addition, there a wide range of toppings including cheese, bacon bits, hard boiled eggs and more. The students set up a salad bar for everybody to enjoy and then made some rolls in the oven for everybody to enjoy.

It was a good learning experience for the students who saw that with a little bit of hard work you can make a delightful spread that will feed a lot of people.
