The Round Lake Transition Center held several fundraisers during the 2016-2017 school year. One of the fundraisers were students making greeting cards for various holiday occasions and selling them to several buildings in the district. The cards were hand drawn by the students who also were responsible for packaging them before selling them.
Another fundraiser that was held was students collecting pet supplies and food to be given to Our House of Hope Rescue in Libertyville. As part of the event, Our House of Hope Rescue brought in a couple of animals to demonstrate to the students how to properly handle and care for pets.
A final fundraiser that was held this past year was our candle project. It was a lot of hard work for the students as they made homemade candles by shaving and melting the wax to make the candles. These candles were sold in the district and the community and was a great success.
These were several of the fundraisers that were held over the past year and we look forward to doing more fundraisers this school year!
