Since 2014, Round Lake Transition Center has been serving students with disabilities aged 18-21. Students learn a variety of skills to gain more independence such as:
- Academic skills
- Using Public Transportation
- Independent Living skills
At the transition center, students not only learn these skills but are able to gain other skills by working in the copy center, mailroom, laundry and workshop/office.
The copy center provides several tasks from operating the copy machines, printing and collating, stapling and folding to allow the students to participate in every step of the process of fulfilling customer orders throughout the district.
The mailroom handles all interdistrict mail. Students will perform multiple tasks including sorting and bundling mail as well as looking up information to identify correct location where the mail is going.
