GOLD 2 (Graduation Opportunity for Learning and Development)

The objective of the program is to provide a learning environment where students utilize technology and staff supports to maintain their academics while serving a suspension for disciplinary action. The program is technology based where students earn credits or keep up with classroom assignments and content through a web based curriculum. This program is for middle school and high school students who are in need of additional support which is a Tier 3 RTI service. Social work services are available for students.  Hours of operation are 8:40 a.m. to 2:25 p.m.

GOLD Standards- A Day in the Life of a Gold 2 student

Breakfast is served from 8:40 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Work begins at 9:00 a.m. Students login to edgenuity.com and use assigned username and password. There is no talking, cell phones, or non-approved activities. No putting head on desk or sleeping. No caps, hats or other head coverings. Only one student allowed out of the room at a time. All RLHS expectations also apply in the GOLD 2 program. Student progress is monitored frequently, including idle time. There is a 30 minute lunch at 12:30 p.m. Students are escorted to the cafeteria to bring lunch back to the mobiles to eat. Student may bring their own lunch but there is no refrigerator or microwave for use. Debriefing occurs each day at 2:00 p.m. Dismissal is at 2:25 p.m.
